The model of counselling I use is Integrative and Psychodynamic.
Psychodynamic counselling or psychotherapy is an exploratory therapy. This means taking time in therapy to explore and reflect on your feelings and past experiences (rather than rushing to find solutions or trying to "fix" behaviour) to help make sense of the present.
We all carry within ourselves a rich internal landscape of people, places and experiences, which shape how we feel about ourselves and others. Sometimes, what we learn from the past can free us from feelings and expectations in the present, which are no longer true for us and which we no longer need.
In therapy, we may explore;
I am based in Forest Green, which is a peaceful, rural location, between Dorking and Cranleigh in Surrey.
My practice is also accessible to areas such as Guildford, Leatherhead, Epsom, Reigate, Crawley and Horsham, from the A25, A29 and A24 road network.
There is ample, free car parking at my location.
My fees are £50 for a therapy hour (50 minutes).
Reduced fees are available for clients who are unwaged, students or young people under the age of 21.
I am an Integrative Psychodynamic Supervisor, with experience supervising trainee and qualified counsellors, psychotherapists and clinical psychologists. As a therapist and supervisor, I have worked in a variety of settings, including Adult Mental Health, Health Psychology, Private Practice, Staff Support and Student Counselling.
My approach is informed by the Hawkins & Shohet relational model for supervision; an integrative model, which can be applied across different therapeutic orientations and settings.
Fees - £50 per hour or £75 for 1.5 hrs.
Concessions are available for trainees and groups.
